Lil Genius Workshop is a program that offers educational services to the community whether on-site or virtually. Lil Genius Workshop offers after-school, summer camp and tutoring services. Since 2016, Lil Genius Workshop has served over 150 students in Brooklyn, NY.

Why the name Lil' Genius Workshop?

We believe that our children are the most valuable citizens of the world. We believe that they are bold and curious which can lead to their genius capabilities. At The Workshop, we enhance their genius capabilities by hosting art, dance, cooking demo, STEAM, and game coding-focused programs. These workshops serve as a supplement to their daily instruction in school. The Workshop is open every regular school day for after-school from 3pm to 6pm EST. We are also open on select Saturdays for tutoring services, and our Super Saturday in-person or virtual parties and tutoring services.

Learn more about our founders

Mrs. Casey

Mrs. Casey is a native of Brooklyn, NY and brings 18 years of teaching experience to the Lil Genius Workshop. She founded Lil Genius Workshop in 2016 because she saw a need to provide supplemental educational services grounded in enrichment and academic tutoring to children in the Brooklyn area. In the summer of 2020, Lil Genius Workshop went virtual servicing children in the New York, New Jersey, Florida and South Carolina areas.

With a B.A. in Psychology & Elementary Education and an MSEd in Educational Teacher Leadership, certifications in Elementary Education Grades 1-6 and responsive classroom, Mrs. Casey is skilled in teaching, leadership, coaching educators and curriculum development. She is currently in pursuit of her Master of Arts in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Mrs. Casey is passionate about education and her desire is for youth to experience well-rounded, dynamic education so that they can be bold enough to change the world.

Meet the founders

Mr. Casey

Mr. Casey was born and raised in South Carolina, falling in love with music at the very age of three years old. As a creator, Mr. Casey has a versatile twenty-five-year background in music as he started playing the piano at six years old, following the saxophone at twelve years old. He has carried his love for music over to the Lil Genius Workshop, as he works alongside his wife, Mrs. Casey, bringing his performing arts creativity to the different workshop programs.

Beyond his work at Lil Genius Workshop, he owns A Beautiful Melody (ABM) Production serving as a music producer and songwriter. He also serves as Lead Musician at Bread of Life Kingdom Fellowship and Greater File Baptist Church.

Mr. Casey has a B.A. in Music Business from University of Texas-Arlington and a certification in advanced first aid.
